Probably not buying it. Unless several of my friends are buying it and want to play together or something. I'm just not that interested in RTS games in general.

It's probably not crap. Blizzard makes very polished games.
But:
1. They're being cheap as fuck with their "buy three games, get one game" deal.
2. I'm not really interested in recent games anymore.
3. If I want to try new RTS games, I've still got about 2/3 of C&C:TFD to go through.
4. I'm pretty sure it'll be full of DRM rootkits.

The DRM on SC2 just requires that you be connected to battle.net to play multiplayer and I believe you have to authenticate the game once (kind of like Windows) before playing single player.
I'll be getting it on day of release (probably at midnight, I've already got it downloaded).
I've been burned by pre-orders in the past. Everybody else goes to the store and gets a copy, and I'm left waiting 2-3 weeks after the release date for my pre-order to show up.

I've been working on my multiplayer game throughout the beta, but I'm really looking forward to the campaign ever since seeing the Ghosts of the Past trailer.
seriously? you can't even install it? I figured you couldn't log in but I expected you could install it, load up the map editor and dig through the data files...
