It's shiny.
I already have more music on it that my old iPod mini, plus almost two gigabytes of photos.
It's just so pretty.
And shit, it was about the same price as my original iPod mini.
Downside One: No clip. Hunh? I guess I have to buy a sleeve or cover for it.
Downside Two: Picks up fingerprint grease like crazy. But it wipes off pretty good.
But it's so pretty! And the album art looks so good. I spent about an hour adding album art to the tracks that didn't already have it.

And congrats on the new ipod. Having your whole music collection in your pocket is awesome!
Congrats on the new shiny

Congratulations! My iPod is one of the best purchases I've ever made. I've listened to that thing for countless hours while I work and also while I drive (via an FM transmitter I purchased). It's very nice having your entire music collection available to listen to anywhere you go.

I've been having what seem to be common problems out there.
Every 9 seconds, my iTunes freezes up for a few seconds whenever my iPod is attached.

The solution might be two-fold. One part is to make sure that the computer I'm using is "authorized".
This appears to have worked in my case.
The other part is to change the drive letter assigned to the iPod.

If I end up requiring step two I'll report back.
(Looks like, as soon as I start playing anything, I'm on to step 2.)

Hope the fixes work for you. Sucks getting a new toy and not having it work right.

Think I'd prefer an I-Pod Touch myself, big memory isn't that necessary for me as I don't have loads of music I like to listen too.
