I am told, that Sarkozy has called for a No Fly Zone over Israel.
Is this true?

Within the next 3 weeks, another flotilla is expected to attempt to run the Israeli Blockade and land in Gaza.
French Nationals, among Nationals from many other countries, are expected to accompany those manning the ships.

If there is violence, battle, we could see French Nationals injured or killed.
Would Sarkozy call again for a No Fly Zone? Or more? Something more serious?

Israel is a Nuclear Power, with a strong conventional army, and a strong defensive posture.
Does Sarkozy seriously propose attempting aggression against Israel?!

Please provide links for this data, because I can't even find wing-nut articles that suggest this. Sarkozy just proposed a peace conference between the Palestinians and Israel for late next month. Where are you getting this?

I have no specific sites to direct you to.
I'm just hearing of general trouble over there, and wish to know what the specifics are.

There is war in Libya, Tunisia and Egypt have been hit with revolution, Syria is a bloodbath, Saudi Arabia sent tanks into Bahrain, Iraq and Afghanistan you know ... Israel is in the middle of a whirlwind, in all that.

I've heard of this new flotilla, but I have few details on it.

The only specific source I have, is the Jerusalem Post.
While browsing across it, I came across the fact Glenn Beck is visiting Israel, and their Prime Minister is talking with him.

The flotilla news comes from CNN, from a while back.
Also, the call for a No Fly Zone came from someone on CNN, quite a while back, when the Libya War was beginning. Although it might have been another leader, not Sarkozy - I remember it being Sarkozy, but my memory is very faulty.

The general craziness is on all the news channels, about the situation in the region in general. Wars, uprisings, revolutions, new alliances, changes in alliances, everything in turmoil.

I appreciate we have a bunch of Conspiracy Theorists run wild. Glenn Beck is one of them.
I just hope the actual reality, is not crazier than anything proposed by these guys. Reality usually is stranger than Fantasy.

Why would Israel's PM, listen to this preacher?
What could he possibly say, that they haven't heard already?
It isn't like they don't have actual real problems on their hands, such as a rising power in Iran.

And France, has enough to deal with, without trouble with Israel.
They are at WAR with Libya. Refugees are pouring in from Africa to Europe. Other countries are pleading for bailouts. The EU is having it's problems.
What gives, with this flotilla, is beyond me.

Ok, if Winslow and others say he didn't, then Sarkozy didn't. I thought it was preposterous, but given all the preposterous things going on, I wanted to be sure. (I know SOME politician over in Europe called for that No Fly Zone, just don't know who.)
These are politicians we are talking about. Politicians will say, and do, just about ANYTHING if it advances their cause ... and if it causes the rest of us trouble, that's too bad, say they.

Certainly, there is trouble enough.

Tunisia: Revolution.
Libya: War, civil war.
Egypt: Revolution.
Syria: Bloodbath.
Bahrain: Saudi tanks went in.
Iran: Going for nukes.
Iraq and Afghanistan: (Our situation there.)
Pakistan: (A mess ... I wish I knew what the situation was ...)

Israel: Likud, the Hardline Party, supported by a coalition of Far Right parties, solidly in power, Prime Minister is a known Hawk. Israel has adopted a militant defensive posture as anarchy has surrounded it.

I never did find that European politician who made the suggestion, but I found something else.

The Arab League is suggesting a No Fly Zone over Gaza.
Since Israel considers Gaza to be under it's jurisdiction, especially Israel under the Likud Party ... well, there you have it.
