So the movie is starting on Sci-Fi, anyone else watching it?

edit:The following comments are IMHO and YMMV

So far I'm not a huge fan of the Guardian costume, most of it looks like some kind or roman gladiator, but the helmet is nuts.:what: (gets better after he ditches the horrible neck portion)

Quickening looks a bit more like the first movie then the tv series. I wish then would just accept that the sound effect when one immortal senses another in the series beats the stupid looks on immortals faces as they look around as if wondering if they might have forgotten to set the vcr or to turn the iron off..

Having one of the chars singing "Who Wants to Live Forever"... humor like the Kergon, but still not sure how much of a fan I am.

I'm about to sit down and watch it. Early reviews were "sucks", but I'm a sucker.

and that is the original movieI know it's enough to brand me as a heretic, but I enjoyed the series more then the original movie. I much preferred immortals who couldn't breath underwater, and of course, the sound effect for sensing another immortal as mentioned earlier.

Am I the only one who, when they heard about The Source, didn't realize that it was going to be a made for tv movie until they saw the promo's on Sci-Fi?

edit: Anyone know the name of the priest in the tv series who the rogue watchers killed? I'm trying to remember and not having any luck. The actor was sick and couldn't make the shooting for the episode in which the char died, so they reused old footage. The actor died not that long afterwards.

Am I the only one who thought it seemed like they hacked the ending horribly and is now waiting for the other shoe to drop via either another movie (I think I heard something about a trillogy) or an uncut directors version?

Up until the very end it wasn't bad, though it wasn't amazing either. I was enjoying it just like I did the series.

edit: What the hell is with the butterfly swords anyway? I did enjoy seeing McCloud using a spear again like in the native american flashbacks and the resulting fight with the guy who had killed his indian family

Generally agree. It was cheesy, but acceptable fun until the last... mmm.... 5 minutes or so. Total WTF?
