I have to replace my Canon A70. Unfortunately there's a problem with it. I've noticed for a while now that pictures come out darker than they should and they're sometimes pretty grainy. And last weekend all the pictures I took have a discolouration along the upper left side. That won't do.

So, I've been looking at new cameras. I still like Canons, mine went through a lot with me, and I'm looking real hard at their A570IS camera. It's very similar to my A70 only with more stuff. Lot's more. I'm just wondering if anyone would recommend anything else with the same features as the A570IS.

Sorry, I'm an SLR kind of guy. I'd like to help but i have spent very little time thinking about or comparing the P&S guys.

You may be able to have your camera repaired by Canon. Recently, my Canon Powershot SD600 was damaged when it got water in it. I shipped it to Canon and it'll cost about $100 to repair, but it's still cheaper than buying a new one.

Sure, but then you don't have a new camera.
