I wouldn't know. I skipped the first one after one of my friends said, "It's pretty cheesy."

Now, you have to understand that that statement, coming from this friend, is a bit like VK saying, "It's pretty gross."

They could have done a much better job with the first AvP than they did, but it wasn't bad. This one looks like they are going back to Predator's roots of an all out fight for survival action movie with both aliens and predators killing humans.

Should be a descent action flick.

I have to say, it definitely makes me more interested in seeing this movie than the first one. It sure looks like the producers are getting back to the basics. Gore and terror-suspense.

I hope that one day they get this done "right". The first movie was weak, maybe it will be better this time around?

Oh, and that they have trailers you don't have to jump through hoops to get to. fuck that.

The first one imho could have been a lot better if they had a bit more gore to it. from what I think I saw in the trailer, I'd say that it could be. But then again movie makers are very good at getting you to bite and then letting you down.

But then again I kinda like the whole 80's style slasher flicks. Sadly I'll be attending this one on my own. The wife doesn't like horror flicks or anything that she believes is scary.

I really doubt there is much in the way of suspense in this movie. Gore, oh yea, there will be blood, but not much terror-suspense. Either directors have lost the kanck or us movie goers have become too jaded for the ususal terror-suspense to work on us. I know I haven't jumped at a movie in ages but I've been watching horror movies since I was 5 so the glamour is a bit tarnished for me at this point.

I am so going to see this in the theater because it's the only real way to see an Alien or Predator movie so... I'm guessing a lot of the predator killing humors in this case is going be humans who are Alien infected or ones who are attacking them. I could be wrong but I rarely am when it comes to horror movies.

Hmmm...good point. My nostalgia for Aliens and Predator must have gotten the best of me.

Still, it looks better than the first AvP.
