C'mon... this is pure testosterone put on film. Stallone, Statham, Jet Li, Lundgren, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Mickey Rourke, Randy Coutre, and Terry Crews, with cameos by Schwarzenegger and Bruce Willis. Motorcycles, guns, wicked fight scenes, and big explosions. Metal soundtrack. How the fuck can you not get an adrenaline rush just thinking about this?

You know, I actually want to see that.

That's going to be an awesome movie. But the A-Team still wins for best trailer when a parachuting M-1 shoots down a fighter jet.

The trick... is Stallone.

Oh, I'm definitely catching this one in theaters.

The Internet is probably the single greatest contributor of gobbledygook to the English language. I mean, "Fan Expendables on Facebook"? "Fan" is a verb now?

In the words of Calvin, "verbing weirds language."

Apparently Stallone fractured his neck filming one of the fight scenes with Austin, and had to undergo immediate surgery. He's got a metal plate in his neck now.

Dude's crazy butch for a 63 year-old.

It's a verb, but it's not that verb.

I used the paper to fan myself.

I had to fan out the cards to see them.

It's becoming common to "verb nouns." Now, to "fan" somebody is to become their fan. To "friend" somebody is to become their friend. We even have "unfriend."

I have a feeling this is going to become a legitimate addition to our language, since it has become so common. It makes about as much sense as some of our other grammar rules, so eh, why the fuck not.

[Altered Beast]RIIIIIIIISE FROM YOUR GRAVE![/Altered Beast]

The Expendables.

GO SEE IT. NOW.

That is all for now. A more full review to come later. Sadly, no video this time, we did Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World, but you can still get the old fashioned, "Radu's Highly Opinionated (And Perhaps Slightly Too Film School Douchebaggy) Film Review Post!"

But, for now-- TO THE EDIT BAY, BATMAN!

Very exciting! I might wait a week to see if it goes on the pass movie list, but I hope to see it soon!

I think Mickey Rourke deserves a best supporting actor nod for his scene where he's painting the guitar and telling the story of the woman on the bridge.

Did anyone ever see this enormous turd?

It's like Aliens vs predator... it should have been awesome and awsomer, but it pretty much blew sheep.

The only good scene was Arnie + Willis + Stallone having a conversation, and the rest of the fucking movie - Jet Li was the only one who I could even understand wtf he was saying.

Why were all the main characters not actually the stars of the movie? It doesn't make sense.

Did anyone ever see this enormous turd? I rather enjoyed it... of course all I was looking to get out of it was a couple hours of explosions and fight scenes... and I got that. No nudity, but I still considered it an enjoyable use of the time. (didn't see in the theater.)

Yeah, I got around to watching it a few months back. It was ok and I definitely don't regret the time I spent watching it.

It's unlikely I'd go out of my way to ever watch it again but if it happens to pop on I'd probably happily watch it again.
