I've been hitting the revenue goals I set forth for three months now and last month was a 2 check and a bonus month and I beat that from the market... market revenues were 55% of my income stream.
I spoke with my wife and we hashed out each of our requirements for me quitting the day job and doing the job I love.
In the end it came down to a capital requirement she put forth and that I can't argue with and thats that we need enough value in the account to pay off a new house in the county and a couple of cars... we won't actually do so as my rates of return on the money are higher than the cost to borrow by 5-10 points.
Given my rate of return per transaction I need 800 successful plays to hit the goal.
As of yesterday I'm at 799.
The countdown is on.

If I can grow our tangible assets enough I can quit my day job and stay home and work on manging money a job I really enjoy.
796 as of this morning.

I always knew how much joy you took from playing the market, so I am really pulling for you, man. You'll be there quicker than you realize, too. :)

My market income percentage to pay for the month of March is already 60% and should go up... I hope.

Really its all the skills I picked up playing Wargames, MtG, d20 and all the other games I played over the years.
The annalytical skill set translates into good trading once the new rule edition is learned.

I have $220 in my account just sitting. Any solid low cost positions you could recommend? I see NLY is at around $16, is it good at that price?

$16 yes... its at $18 and thats about as high as I'd go personally.
Try CIM its also a REIT but it profits off of commercial and its run by Team NLY so its good.
Its also about $4.04 a share right now.

Thanks, man. I took a look at the history and it looks like it did well before the shit hit the fan. If it can get halfway there I'll be happy. Not much risk, so I bought 56 shares of it. :)

Its the $4 wonder stock I play with.
Even if it fails I'm not out much and odds are against it failing.

No it definitely sounds like English you are speaking, I recognise the words, and sentence structure, but you might as well be speaking Na'vi (http://www.learnnavi.org/).

How does it feel to have gotten $.17 a share in dividend on a $4 stock?
:)
