So, I just had mouth surgery on Friday.

The oral surgeon cut along the gums on the roof of my mouth, pulled them back, removed a 'cyst' and put in a little piece of bone graft.

I'm on pain medication. Pain medication is fun. Especially with alcohol! Whee.

I tried to go to work today, and it wasn't a great idea. I'll probably stay home tomorrow and make it a five day weekend to recuperate.

I'm tempted to take a picture of what the surgery site looks like for VK, he'd love it. I haven't looked at it quite yet, but my girlfriend did and she said it looks terrible. Side note, she's been great taking care of me on the day of and the day after when I was pretty useless. So props to her for that.

I didn't know that a bruised soft pallet would result in cysts. Poor Droid.

I hope you feel better soon. Sorry for the whole gum business. I think Vitamins A and E help with the healing of soft tissues. And I also think people willing to hold your hair when you barf are worth keeping around!

Well, I've had it for five years and have no idea how it came to be. It really just seemed like a slight bump in the roof of my mouth... I didn't pay it any second thought because it didn't hurt or anything and wasn't big.

Anyway, the stitches are still in but I'm no longer in any pain. Hopefully I'll get to eat a hamburger soon because I'm getting antsy.



And yes, it was from ball gargling.

Having a tooth pulled was bad enough. I don't even want to think about what an oral cyst would be like.

Enjoy the pain meds and I hope you are back on your feet soon.
