Tried it. Failure. Waste of time.

Good god, I need a trustworthy backup. I'm saving everything to portable hard-drives, a 120GB and a 500BG. But I've already had one backup drive fail on me. Writing everything to discs and stashing them seems the safest route.

East-Tec refused to recognise my DVD drive. Complete no go. And it was SSLLLOOOWWW.

Windows proprietary backup refuses to recognise anything other than my MMC drive. I know I have an MMC drive. I'm looking at the slot right now. But I have no earthly idea what goes in it.

Nero - Works like a dream. Everything falls into place so nicely. It compiles the data neatly and quickly, it sees my DVD drive. Easy to use. But to backup all data I want to back up, it would take 28 hours straight of me sitting here plugging discs into my PC. And I don't have that much coffee.

So what do the rest of you do, besides pray? I'm not religious.
