I am happy! :D Also sad day :(
I am no longer working as a contractor for the Army...I am going to work over at the 5 sided squirrel cage (the Pentagon) next week. It's more money, gov't job instead of being a hired gun and an easier commute. I am taking two days off to rest and recharge my batteries.
Sad part is I am leaving friends at the Army. I know many good NCO's I worked with and civilians too.

Don't worry. There's assholes everywhere. They are easy to make friends with, just hate everyone as much as they do with a lack of caring and you are golden. Even if you hate them and they hate you, it's still all good.
Look at how well Droid does. ;)

You realize, of course, that this is your karmic return for dumping your not-yet-mistress.

I hope that the new job will open plenty of new horizons for you as well as lining your pockets better!

You folks realize that he's a govt spook now, and this is just part of his "hiding in the open" attempt to gain our confidence.

Wait, I thought he was our man on the inside.

Once you make someone a double agent you really can't trust what side they are on.

Yes. My reward. I know, I know whatever you do comes back three fold.
I hope that the new job will open plenty of new horizons for you as well as lining your pockets better!
I hope so too. As of right now it's a slight pay bump. But it's stable...no longer being a contractor is a great feeling.

Best way for a wolf to hide is to look like a sheep :D

Of course I am on the inside. Isn't that how you are suppose to do it :naughty:

The first day of my new job, worked out well. Evidently when you go to in-process, they send you to Crystal City (http://www.kaytastrophe.com/vb/redirector.php?url=http%3A%2F%2Fen.wikipedia.org%2 Fwiki%2FCrystal_City%2C_Arlington%2C_Virginia) in Arlington instead. I got instructions on how to get to the building and it had directions like "while facing away from the metro, go through the double glass doors past the mural" and "go out the double doors, across the street into the next shopping center" and "continue past the chocolate shop". I felt like I was on a treasure hunt. :D
Once I got there it was a lot of yadda, yadda, yadda...mostly on policy I knew about already. I did all my paperwork for HR the night before, the wife proofed it :win: to make sure I could get through quickly.
I found my way back to the 5-Sided Squirrel Cage (http://www.kaytastrophe.com/vb/redirector.php?url=http%3A%2F%2Fen.wikipedia.org%2 Fwiki%2FThe_Pentagon) and met up at my office. They were all very nice and gave me office supplies:D...which being given office supplies is a new thing for me...contractors provide their own pens, post-its and the like. I was introduced to just about everyone and people were friendly.
