Thanks! My birthdays tend to be low-key affairs but this one is starting up well. When I picked up Dragon Age yesterday I did it with a little cash my Dad gave me for my birthday, and one of my old assistants sent me this:

Edit: Oh, and I saw my surgeon yesterday for my yearly checkup and told him about the severity of pain I'm still experiencing. He thinks my nerves have healed up out of sync [the pain does tend to run from my ankle to my groin] and has put me on Neurontin. The pharmacist warned me that it would make me groggy - good lord, I was NOT expecting it to make me punch drunk, but it did. Glad I took it before bed! But I can already tell the pain is better today.

Nuerontin worked for my nerve damage for awhile, I liked it, it was the only thing that helped. Unfortunately I started noticing memory loss and we narrowed it down to that. I voted for my memories over pain relief. Works really well for a LOT of people for various things though.
