Well not really a new take but I thought I would share this with the rest of you. First off take the ground meat, some shredded cheese of your choice, some cooked bacon, and whatever spices you like. Mix it all together. Now make Mini burgers. And when I say mini burgers I mean each burger would fit on a 1/4 peice of bread.

They take much shorter time to cook, you can make much more than if you were making a regular burger. And you might find that you have a tendency to eat less of them.

Made them for dinner last night. They were really good.

Are you baking them or frying them?

This might work as a nice restaurant bit.

I fried them but would have loved to grill them.

Mini food (including mini burgers) was all the rage last summer. I haven't heard about it lately.

I would think that for miniburgers you could do it unsupervised.

I actually just toasted some bread and then cut it into quarters and used that.

The grocery stores will sell slider buns - but in a pinch you can use slices of bread cut appropriately.

BTW, while yummy - you don't want to know the fat content :)

That is very true. I never said it was a healthy take on burgers. :)
