So I go into work this morning and my supervisor is there and she says that she hurt her back over the weekend and as soon as she can find a substitute she is going home. I tell her good for you, if you are hurt then you need to rest and get better.
Not an hour later I am picking up a baby and I feel a sharp pain in my upper back. I put down the baby and am tearing up at the pain. I take a few deep breaths and the pain subsides. I decide I just turned wrong. But over the next hour I notice that anytime I move to quickly or in certain ways I get that sharp pain again and then there starts to be a dull ache in the area.
Unsure what to do, I decide that I will go to urgent care after work if it doesnt feel better, and I tell my supervisor so that if is ends up being something it will be documented that I reported it.
Well, instead she sends me to employee health, I get her substitute and now I am at home and she is still limping around at work. I feel absolutlely awful. She definately needed the day off more that I do. Should I call and check on her and appoligize or would that be rubbing in the fact that I am home and she is not? I am freaking out that I made the wrong decision about reporting it. Maybe I should of just gone to urgent care after work and not even told anyone at work.
