This makes no sense at all - Al quaeda is hard core sunni (and often arab), the Iranians are shiite (and persian).

Is Iran promoting terrorism? Probably. But it's not al quaeda!

This administration put North Korea and Iran into the axis of EEEEEEvil on a whim, as evil goes better in threes. It's not surprising that the Murdoch branch of their press office is irrationally following along.
