First of all, the Joker looks lame- http://www.fatbackandcollards.com/2007/08/21/the-joker-looks-lame/
And rumor has it that Bale won't be Batman in the Justice League movie- http://www.chud.com/index.php?type=news&id=11517

If they ever make a Justice League movie, that is. There's been a lot of talk about it, but I'll believe it when I see it.
I'll probably shudder and weep when I see it, too. Especially if they do the really candy-ass looking Metrosexual of Steel/creepy stalker version of Superman again. Ye Gods.

Yeah, I wasn't impressed with the Diva of Steel, either, Northcott.
I don't know, I've seen pictures of Ledger as the Joker that looked pretty decent. I still would've preferred Vincent Cassel(that man was made to play The Joker; c'mon, a pointy-faced Frenchman with a history of playing sadistic nuts?).

Given the new vision of these Batman movies I think it looks pretty good and fitting.

1966, 1989, 1992, 1995, 1997, 2005, 2008.
More like every three years, and with two rather big holes (first between Adam West and Michael Keaton, and then between George Clooney and Christian Bale.

I just imagine the cost and shear convoluted aspect of of a JLA movie to imagine it ever being made. There's been a lot of complaint that the huge character number movies give little for some of the characters to do or even get characterization. Same with the rumored Avengers movie.

I think they'd be better off waiting a few more years until the technology advances just a little further, and doing it as HBO-styled TV series. Pull it like Heroes and play up the drama, punctuating it with bursts of high intensity action.
They could probably do it now, but the cost of the special effects would be murderous. On the other hand, the chief cost is in developing basic models for rendering, and the Iron Man movie is already taking care of that end of things with one of the more 'expensive' characters to produce...
I'm figuring that the same will eventually be done for the Harry Potter books. The movies are growing more and more unsatisfying. In another fifteen to twenty years we'll see remakes, perhaps done as extended mini-series.

I think they should do the JLA like the current Avengers movies- animated. You would not have to worry about paying actors and crazy budgets. I thought the Averger movie was decent. Any live action movies with large teams is a disaster in the making.

I was somewhat disappointed in the Joker - until I remembered the kind of film they were going for. Isn't the Joker kind of the same style as the Scarecrow from the previous film? For better or for worse, they are going for a very realistic type of film (all things considered). If the success of the first movie is any kind of indication then this John Wayne Gacey version of the Joker will work out nicely.
but what will you think if they make the riddler the villain for the next movie? :)

I think the current creative team would do a solid job with Riddler because he just needs a costume no makeup needed. I like what they did with the Scarecrow and I think it would be in the same style. Much more low key than Jim Carey!

I think the look of the Joker is perfect: Crazed lipstick-wearing psycho.
It's perfect.
