That's really handy! Of course, if there's enough light to split a pencil, cut up the lead into 1 inch segments, find speaker wire, split it, and attach the ends to the 1-inch pencil lead and car battery, then I can probably see well enough to change my tire, hide the body, or do whatever else it is that I need light to see for.

Yeah but you can do all that inside the car with the internal lights, the point is the pencil light (assuming your leads are long enough) works outside the car.

Of course once you fix the car it won't start because you have a flat battery.
