View Full Version : Compliment your fellow KT member
Atropine Mama

In this thread I would like you to compliment the person who posted before you. I'm not talking about "er... nice shirt" compliments, but real, insightful things that will give that person a bit of glow in their cortex, maybe even elicit a smile.
So to start things off for the next poster, I will pretend to be Ergeheilalt.
Lady Fury

Ergeheilalt was one of the first people that caught my attention back when I first joined this community nearly 4 yrs ago. I don't remember what the comment was but it did leave an impression on me. He also had the most intriguing avatar at the time. It was the one with the arachnid climbing on top of a woman laying on a bed.
I like his sense of humor and his stories about his childhood are amusing. (His lego weapons come to mind.) He's always been one of the more "stable" members of the community. And he's not afraid to give it to you straight when you need to hear it that way.
In summary, Ergeheilalt you are our rock! :)
Random Encounter
10-19-2008, 11:40 PM
Lady Fury has been very kind and supportive of me since I came out here. While no one has said anything rude to me, and others take the time to post supportive comments, Lady Fury is usually the first to say something nice when I post pics of myself dressed.
And she posts really, really good porn. :D

Random encounter has provided insight to the workings of crossdresers in a way that I have enjoyed reading about, and all the while managed to remain an interesting and insightful poster.
Plus, he's a pretty damn good tank.
Singularity

Schizm brings thoughtfulness and intelligence to any conversation he chooses to participate in.... At least when he's being serious. The rest of the time, he is usually successful in his attempts to amuse.
Singularity is an outspoken and strong willed man, one who does not give in easily to unsupported claims. The strength of his rhetoric has led me to try to improve my own, and his willingness to question and analyze has certainly inspired me to re-evaluate my own positions on many topics. I think the board is better off with his presence in many respects, because he does not allow complacency and demands the highest standards of argument.
Pigs in Space

Radu has the best avatar on the boards. Also he's quite a smart guy, he has a habit of posting awesome one-liners when he wants to, but then he backs it up with insightful statements in more political/social and biological threads.
This is deceptively deceptive of him, as it encourages me to read that stuff, whereas I normally wouldn't.
Brynja
10-20-2008, 05:59 AM
Pigs In Space has the loveliest wife and I am pretty sure he knows that too. He is also a master of posts that make you wonder was he serious or not. Rather like Radu he hides is SMRT in the snark- but oh is it there!
Dawnstar

Brynja speaks her mind which is something I wish I could do more often. She is also very supportive. She is someone I really hope to meet in person sometime soon. I think she would be a lot of fun to hang out with.
Oh and did I also mention that she is a beautiful person. :)
Cat of Ulthar

Dawnstar is one of the warmest people on these boards. She always has something supportive and thoughtful to say to anyone, is often the first one to offer sympathy to people in distress, and I have never seen her be anything but sweet. I envy her kids, because she must be an awesome mummy.

Don't know anyone well enough specifically :(
But in general, though you all seem tight-knit and are therefore intimidating, the vibe is one of acceptance and warmth, which is refreshing and rare.

I hope we are able to do this more than once.

Trainz is one of those people you want to have on your side. He's a very loyal person to the end if need be. He can change your mood with one simple word and has always been able to bring a smile to my face when I needed it most. His musical talents and photoshop skills are way beyond mine and I have always looked up to him in a mentor sort of way. Plus he's super handsome inside and out.

Aino, you are a true Pink Warrior in every sense of the word. You have science skills that beyond mine and probably many others here and you aren't afraid to stand up for what you believe in. You always been kind to me here and on CM. You don't form an opinion about someone until you have all the facts. That's a wonderful trait to have. Your beauty shines inside and out and you are one of those people I'd love to meet one because I'm certain we'd have a blast hanging out together.
You say you don't know us all that well but I think you may know us a little more than you think. We do know you and we are very happy that you are apart of this community.

Lady Fury, you are not only beautiful inside and out (Caliphis and I both say "Ha-cha-cha!); you are unfailingly yourself, no matter what the consequences. I admire your strength of character and your sense of self from top to toe. It says a lot about your integrity and charm that even with our wildly diverging political and religious beliefs, you never fail to listen and treat me with respect. I've said it before and I'll say it again: you're the total package, my dear.
Interstellar Ink is the kind of person who's nice without being sickening about it. It's not forced, it's not for show, and it's not to ingratiate with the carebeards, it's for real, and the kind of nice that even a black-hearted curmudgeon like me can appreciate having around. The smarts and interesting personality is just gravy. That she makes Caliphis happy is sprinkles on top.

This is a different thread. Pretty interesting.

PWD? Can I get a do over? No, I'm just kidding. PWD is an asshole, but in the best possible way. He makes assholishness into a true art form that never fails to entertain and is completely honest. His forays into Politics are usually both illuminating and to the point and always honest. His lack of patience with pettiness and passive agressive bullcrap helps to keep their numbers down. I mean, the bastard can really make me laugh sometimes, and he's far far more than the sum of his insults to the stupid; it was PWD's post regarding honesty in politics that caused me to start really trying to say exactly what I meant in that arena, even though it's usually not something I have that much fun doing (talking politics, I mean). When it comes to the community PWD is a big softy; he's an interesting bastard and one of the people that make this community what it is and I can't imagine the place without him.

Northcott
10-23-2008, 03:13 AM
Bregh is one of those solid posters that keeps a community's core intact. Easily one of the most level-headed people I've run across on the intarweb, it speaks highly of his character that I've never yet had cause to flame him... and by God, that's saying something! I'm prone to offending my mother when she calls. Hell, I enjoy it! But Bregh is one of a small handful of people who has yet to give me cause. I am sure that in the afterlife, he'll kick Ghandi's ass.
His knowledge of the ins and outs of Canadian history and politics has never failed to be informative. Generally when it comes to any thread touching on either of those subjects, I can count on him to pop up as both the voice of reason and education. I learn shit from his posts. I both resent and respect that.
Northcott is really buff and a good artist and ok for a Newfie and he's buff
Black Angel

Doc always has a unique point of view on pretty much every topic. Sometimes that view is different from my own, but he's never afraid to put it out there, and that is admirable. And then occasionally he just makes me laugh my ass off!
Space Angel actually listens to people and reads the previous posts before she replies to them. She can work out what people actually are trying to say rather than just reply to what she thinks they wrote. She has one of the best Avatars on the board and she manages to put up with PIS.

Merganser is named after a waterfowl of supreme quality. Just as this elegant bird is able to both fly and float, Merganser the poster flys through each thread with the speed of a falcon, the tenacity of an osprey, and the serene patience of a merganser. If Merganser could be any better, what would he be? Damned good question, and one likely to never be answered. His presence here, or wherever he happens to be, is always one filled with joy, happiness, and to coin a new word, "merganserliciousness". Merganser makes me feel proud to be an American. He makes me laugh and think about good times. He makes my dick tingle, in a non-gay way. He is, in short, the B to the O M B, yo.

I enjoy his posts.

Whenever you see Snatch's avatar in a thread, you know the post next to it is one to read. He's a fun guy (but not a fungi, last time I checked) who found the most clever gimmick ("chocolate lesbian" is totally a stroke of genius) and made some of the best ads for this electoral campaign game.

Schizm's got a sharp sense of humour -- and subtle enough that a few times I've missed it until I tripped over it. When he knuckles down and gets serious, his posts are almost invariably well-constructed and reasoned statements. On the rare occassion his ire is roused, he's good for a touch of wrath. I respect that.
But I think he mixed up his Cats. :D

Cheshire is me and I am her and she is Cheshire. :D
Well then, you have my sincere apologies. :o
Now, to the meat of the matter:
Cat Nebula (cheshire cat) has never, in my memory, managed to make me react in a "you fucking retard" or "you're just being an asshole" or "what the fuck are you on?" manner. Not once. Her posts are to the point, on topic, and not on my mental "skip-this-post" list, because she always seems to have something to say that is worth reading.

Snatch: Funny. Mother. Fucker. Every once in a while a post that attempts no funny rolls past and I wonder if snatch is losing his smooth, but the WHAP! he comes by and posts one that knocks all the boogers out of your nose.
Schizm: Excellent father, the icing on the cake of excellent human being. My respect knows no bounds, man. You walk tall.

Belladonna has a number of things going for her - in addition to being a burgeoning artist, she also has fantastic taste in hot women avatars. I can't cruise KT's a work cause then I get distracted by the pink haired fantasies. She's also got a streak of outrageousness that gives me the giggles.

Ergeheilalt brings a lot to the site by injecting short, funny comments into discussions, which usually amuses me to no end. The avatar is pretty awesome too.
