Scutisorex (roughly pronounced as= scoot e sorex) is a scientific name for a type of shrew with an odd interwoven spinal column, nicknamed the "hero shrew". As an aside, my pic is a Solenodon, a related creature that lives in the Carribean and is much larger than most shrews.

Between us? Yes. Is life golden? Not so much.

Anna is still working in Philly. Both of us are looking to buy property in Ontario, so that we can be together more often. The trial of my dad's killer is turning into a clusterfuck. My hours at work have been cut back because work has been slow. Our savings have been hammered on by the Wall Street meltdown (on the other hand, the Canadian loonie is plummeting, too, offsetting out losses somewhat).

On the upside, I only have to see a doctor once a year for my heart condition, and I'm basically in good shape, and I've slowly been losing weight (I don't eat as much when I live by myself).

Well, I don't know what to say other than I will pray that your situation improves. Glad to hear you are getting in better shape, that should help you feel better physically. Keep your head up. Hopefully things will look up for you soon.:)
