Cake? CAKE? Caliphis undersells himself. He's spent the last 24 hours baking and decorating 20 individual BatCakes. There are 3 different flavors. They have chocolate chip cookie wings. And he hand-decorated them all with frosting.

Not to worry - I got some great shots!

And Caliphis didn't stop there. Every present he gave me fell under the theme "You are young no matter how old you are," and they were creative, meaningful, and so thoughtful. He doctored up the meh black bicycle basket I bought so that it's now white with plastic flowers - just exactly what I wanted when I was a little girl, and it matches the bike MUCH better. He created some artwork inspired by the movie "Across the Universe" (I was obsessed with the beatles as a tweenager), and best of all, he picked up a "ballet box" for me to use as a purse. Just like the one I had when I was 5, it's a pink vinyl box with images of ballet dancers on it, and is for carrying your tights, leotard, and ballet shoes to dance class. That one made me cry.
