Then you haven't been paying attention to McCain over the years. I've said it before, but for much of the 1990's I'd decided he was batshit insane, and it was his extremely volatile, over-the-top temper that helped feed that. I mean, he doesn't just get angry, he gets all Nikita Khrushchev on your ass.

I think you're right.

Maybe it's just that when we talk about religious, Nationalistic, pro-life gun nuts, we automatically assume they are also in bed with oil companies.
