Breaking news from patty stacker Bill Perehinec!
"Hey Laurie. I work part-time at Burger King on Osborne, and I thought you may be interested in this incredible event," writes Bill.
"I was working a close shift and three gentlemen entered the restaurant. They ordered three eight-patty burgers! Burger King has a burger called the Stacker, which you can order in a one to four-patty configuration. We also offer customers the opportunity to add additional patties at $1 apiece."
"Amazingly," Bill continues, "one of the gentleman finished TWO of these eight-patty burgers in less than 20 minutes. Yes, that's right, he ate 16 patties worth of meat, plus the other fixings in less than 20 minutes."
"I just had to get their names and (with their permission) send them to you. The three gentlemen are Andre Nault, Emil Sosnawski -- who ate two -- and Michael Mogk. Despite the fact that it was an amazing feat, and although I am the creator of these 'Jenga' (teetering) burgers, I don't encourage anyone else to attempt this. Thanks, Bill."
Here's a good reason why, Bill.
Attempting to track down the three-patty pumpers (with little success), I did manage to speak to Mogk's brother, who says Mike was more than "a little green" upon arriving home after the adventure.
No surprise. Imagine what colour Emil must have been.
