Ok maybe not famous but you'd still be on the intertubes. I am putting together a little comedy sumtin-sumtin to put on my website and am looking for volunteers. It only entails you recording some vocals for me. I will even send you a script! ;)

I need a total of 8 volunteers, so PM or e-mail me if you're interested.

I would relish this, but have no microphone on my laptop! (at least, that I can tell)

:(

Too bad microphones are so outrageously expensive!

Many modern laptops have a microphone installed that you might not know of. I only discovered my laptop had one when my headset died but for some reason people could still hear me through Ventrillo.

Check under Control Panel, Sound Devices.

It also means a really clever hacker can hack into your computer, activate the microphone, and listen to what's going on.

You ever leave your laptop on, but closed, in the corner and forget it's there?

(just making you paranoid. This can be done, but the odds against you being a random target are microscopic.)

I know how to put pictures of me in an email and even mobil phone videos but have no idea how to do a straight voice recording saving ringing you on the phone (which I can do). So if you want a hot sexy antipodean accent and you have the appropriate software to turn my average boring kiwi accent into hot sexy and you can record my voice either from a phone message of emailed video clip then I am your Richard Burton.

I'm a wonderful story teller at least that's what my kids say. But I doubt you'd choose me for your project considering all the past drama.:(

No thanks. I was famous back in 1979. That was enough for me. Let others share the glory.

Sure, why not. I have an SM-58 (microphone) and an external sound card (Tascam US-122), so it'd be cheap of me not to play along.

Put me down for any role you want, but be warned that I have an accent.

Keep the original audio tracks people send you. If your mixdown sounds bad, I can probably also help you with that. Noise reduction, paning, compressing, basic mastering...

I'm interested if you still have open spots, :) no mike on my comp, but I've got a voice recorder on my mp3 players that seems to work decently. :)

It doesn't count as famous unless the charges stick.
