Oh, in case anyone didn't realise, the Cthulhu in the pictures is one of a school that Whirligig created to give to everyone at the annual NTL Gencon dinner. That girl is awesome! :cool:

This was the view from my bedroom window tonight - Cthulhu terrorising Lumley Castle!

If you want to know how it was done:
Cthulhu is actually balanced precariously on books and a matchbox on my window sill about 10 feet away from the camera which is on a tripod - I used the 300mm focal length to get the castle a decent size and the distance between camera and Cthulhu to get the scale right. I used an aperture of f/40 and manually focussed a bit behind Cthulhu to try vainly to get both in focus. Exposure was 1/2 second, which was correct for the background, and I held a lamp below and to one side of Cthulhu to light him, while I used an IR remote to trigger the camera shutter.
