Went to Hardees today, and they were advertising that they'd changed the basic non-curly fries to "Natural Cut" fries. I decided to try some, and these things are pretty damned good. They're chunkier, and they're made from the whole potato so they have a bit of skin on them. They're not as big as potato wedges, but are more just big beefy fries.
Their old fries weren't bad at all, but these seem a bit more flavorful because of the skins.

And they'd have more fibre too, so you could almost say they're healthy. :P
Potato skins are goddamn great, and not just as bar food. I love when you can get a good meaty chip with skin on it. Tasty.

Out here in the western states, Hardee's is called Carl's Jr.
I'll have to see if they've changed their fries as well.

I never really understood that, personally. Hardee's version of the burgers sound so very unappetizing to me. Thickburger. Blech.
I'll have a Super Star any day, however. ;)
they don't have Hardees anywhere near me, but they do have them in Indy... tried them while we were in town for GenCon and i have to agree - i nearly ate my wife's whole box of fries before i stopped myself. :D

Truth!
But it was an aquisition by Carl's and they never rebranded things because the Hardee name is well-established.
