Who else likes karaoke? I think my enjoyment is colored somewhat by the group I go with(a loose collection of friends and improv comedians), because they make it a good time no matter what's being sung.

It's nice to have an appreciative crowd in front of you sometimes(even when you're not that good).

I love karaoke, but there's not many places do it round here. So, what about "setlists"? :)
My faves:

Mack The Knife
Desperado
Wonder Of You
Angels
Love On The Rocks

All the classics, I suppose!

I like karaoke, and surprisingly I've been told I'm pretty good at it.

I'm actually having a karaoke party at my apartment next month. Downloaded about 3000 karaoke songs complete with lyrics on the screen. Jury rigging my computer to my TV and finding a microphone or two. It's going to be freaking awesome.

I tend to do some Johnny Cash, Sublime, Suicidal Tendencies, the weird stuff. Yesterday "Hurt" came up right after a bunch of my friends had all just done very happy, goofy songs(my friend did the Alanis Morissette cover of "My Lumps" right before it). Always nice to bring down the rest of the bar after that. :D

Sounds like an awesome party. I've been told that I'm pretty good at it too, I just choose not to believe it since the people saying it are 1) my girlfriend, 2) a close friend, and 3) a guy who I can never tell if he's joking or not(he's said with a straight face that he entertains sexual fantasies about me; I'd hate to play poker with this guy).

I go karaoke two to three times a week at the local karaoke bar, the Boiler Room. I always post the pics to my Flickr. Good place to sing and pick up women.

i am truly wonderful at being an audience--i admire each persons particular skill set --enjoy seeing them have a good time--get a kick out of watching drunkin' tramp-stamped hos make fools of themselves--genuinely envy and respect those with actual talent.

but i hope to god i never hear the full length version of american pie ever ever again. ....

(never sing myself, by audience request--im truly awful---tho onbets/ dares i have done Bitch, Fancy, and a few others i can brazen my way thru)

I'd never really been a huge fan, until we went to Japan, and our friend took us to a proper karaoke club - we don't really have them here in Adelaide (although I've since found out a great new one opened recently, so we might be trying it out soon). The idea of being able to hire a room and just have fun with your friends is awesome - it's always been the singing in front of a bunch of strangers that sucks for me.

We did some great Madonna (Holiday), and Coopers requested a couple of strange ones like System of a Down (Toxicity) which were actually pretty fun to sing.

you probably sing it well----its the fact that it seems the favorite local choice of those who absolutely cannot sing that is annoying--i like the song myself--
no offense intended--honest

Shellbelle does most of the singing, but occasionally I can do a passable version of Kryptonite or Folsom Prison Blues.

Another fun-ass night of being foolish in front of people ahead of me. Do I stick with my usual theme of "be the whitest guy to ever sing this song", like I've been doing with "Jungle Love", "Let's Get It On", "Hoochie Coochie Man", and "Cult of Personality", or do I change it up?
