So for some time now, I've been dealing with this company that does custom protein mixes -- TrueProtein.com. Ethical folks, excellent company, and quality products. They basically do wholesale nutritional products, various kinds of protein powders, etc.

I've decided to sign up for their referral program: where anybody I refer gets 5% off of purchases if they use my code. If enough is spent that way, I net some free protein powder. I was thinking about throwing the code in my sig so that anybody here could use it at whim, but wasn't sure if that was crossing a line.

Any objections from the powers that be?

If it's in your sig, I'd think it would be ok. A lot of us have stuff in our sigs that link to other pages.
