Any Warmachine players about?

I play Hordes/Trollbloods myself. I dislike putting the models together and painting them so my army is 1/2 build somewhat armless and sometimes headless but I really enjoy the game.

I tried to start Menoth but they are just a but to complex for a beginner, or at least they were for me starting out.

Cryx for me, too. Though I enjoy putting them together and painting more than playing.

What do you have that you are putting together? The Satyxis Raiders?

Actually, currently I am working on Cianna(sp?) and the Risen. Not Cryx but I like those models.

I'd be interested to watch a few games, but I don't see myself playing it. Miniature wargaming and army building is one crack-like addiction I don't need to get started on again.

No, I'll keep to my Iron Kingdoms setting, thank you.

Conceptually, pretty much but different rules and the figures look better (for the most part).

It is in the Iron Kingdoms setting so if you like that (as I do) then you would like this.

Is this like Warhammer 40k?Warmachine is based around much smaller warbands. It's a steampunk fantasy setting, published as an RPG under the name Iron Kingdoms.

Sounds interesting.

And cheaper to play. :D

Definitely cheaper. I honestly think that 50 - 70 bucks would get you set up to play. You would spend more to get more options for your faction but 70 would likely set you up nicely.

can you play a gobber army?

I'm all about the tecno-goblins. lf I was playing (instead of running) my starwars game, I'd be playing a jawa.

I think they might've stuck those into Hordes, but I'm not sure.

No gobber armies (as I think that would be a lot of minis you would have to buy) but if you play Cygnar, you can put several gobbers in your army.
