At home, with new internet service, learning to do woodcut prints and prepariing for my new gig as an ART HISTORY PROFFESOR at a local backwater college.

I am very pleased with myself and pleased to be back amongst you. How has everyone been?

Very cool. Congrats on the new gig. I actually really enjoyed my art history classes in college. Are you looking forward to it?

I would totally make a great history of art teacher.
First there was no art then some drunk guy tripped and put his hand in the fruit punch and used to the wall to help himself get up. Some chick saw the hand print and asked to sleep with him. Thus art was born. The basic principle hasn't changed.

Art getting guys laid for 80,000 years.

Congrats! Glad your back. The only way I could answer for how everyone is doing is to say we have had our share of ups and downs. :)

I'm going to have trouble picturing you as a Art History Professor. I'm sure you can do it, and do it well, I just can't picture you in tweed.

Fuck the tweed, just earn tenure so you can do it naked! ;)

Good to have you back sir!

Is it the manic thing or the hideously innaproporaite behaviour?

;)

Neither, I think your students will enjoy both. I'm just having trouble picturing you assigning homework.

Ah, yeah, me too. :)

There are 4 tests and one paper. I am worried I will grade too hard.

Don't worry, once you weed out the people who thought Fine Arts were going to be easy-A classes (), you'll have a hardcore group of people who are actually interested in the subject and will work hard to give you quality papers.

It's college - you're under no obligation to grade on a curve or be generous. You're allowed to cram as much useful and applicable knowledge as you can into the course and expect them to know and retain all of it.

That said, student comments and reviews are a big part of your career. Make sure they come to look forward to your class, no matter how hard it is. Some classes I only got a C in, but I loved showing up because I always had fun learning really interesting stuff. Those teachers got good reports. There are many classes I got As in that I didn't learn shit. Those teachers got bad reports.
