And then Sunday through Sunday I am off. This will be only my second real vacation of my adult life.

I am more than just a little excited!

Are you using it for fun or to catch up on all the stuff you've had to put aside while starting the business?

Put asides. I haven't really had ANY time for pottery so I am gonna bury myself in my studio for a bit.

Would you agree that the worst part of having business that involves something you love is that all to often you no longer have time for it?

Back when I was running my own gaming shop business I noticed I didn't get to play the games anymore and the business made them much less fun.

In a way, yes. But I love hanging out with my artists and being around the art as well. There are sacrifices though.

Last week I had a 14 year old come in and buy her first original artwork with money she saved for two months at her forst job. Very encouraging. :D

I'd imagine things like that would make it worth it.

Do you have classes as well?

It sounds like things are really going well for you. I hope that you are able to really enjoy the time in your studio during your "vacation".

My last class eneded last week.

We have a glass jewelry class starting here next month, some kids doing drawing classes, a stained glass workshop starts in Oct, and we have been asked to make a permanent kids art station which I am figuring out how to do now.
