What're your favorite cheap meals to make? I have a fondness for a tuna casserole made with store brand mac & cheese, a can of tuna, and cream of chicken soup. 3 dollars, feeds two people for two or three days.

Rice steamed with coconut milk, throw some cheap quick-fried frozen dumplings on there, dress with soy sauce.
Yum. Thank you Trader Joes.

Have you ever tried getting a can of cream of cheddar or cream of chicken, 2 packages of ramien noodles and some cut up chicken or even tuna. It is really good.

I'll have to try that, Dawnstar. Just cook as directed, combine, enjoy?
I like meals that I pay little for and require little time and thought to put together. Sometimes it's nice to cook a full meal, but a lot of time I'm not getting home from work until 9:45, 10 o'clock, and on those days, I just can't do the whole big cooking thing before I crash.

Fried eggs, or just "however the hell you like your eggs"?

Nachos. I always keep corn chips and cheddar stocked in my home. If I have extras like beans and sour cream, it's even better.

Fried egg sandwich. Quick, easy and you can take it on the go.What do you put on yours? I have them with ketchup and miracle whip.
Very tasty recipe:
Saute some garlic(I use at least a whole head) and onion in olive oil
add beans(red, pink or kidney) and several chopped tomatoes(canned will also work)
add spinach(fresh is good frozen is ok)
season to taste(all I use in this is a bit of salt and some savory)

Oh yeah...I"m all about the cheap meals!
black beans, rice, salsa, corn, and peppers in one bowl...guac and sour cream in another. heat bowl #1 then add the cold stuff.
black beans, rice, mandarin oranges, pineapple tidbits, onions (green and white), water chestnuts, broccoli, and your favorite asian style dressing or stir fry sauce.
egg salad/tuna salad sandwich (pack the filling separately and make the sammy right at lunch time) with a bag of raw veggies and hummus (try jicama, bell peppers, and cucumber strips)
ramen noodles (cook them without the sauce packet), 1T peanut butter/1T hoisin sauce, 1 scrambled egg or 3 egg whites, green onions, water chestnuts, green bell peppers
any canned soup with extra veggies and/or beans and a crusty roll
Just a few ideas...

Sounds good! I make a version of that but with noodles instead of rice, cooking them in stock, and with the eggs on top. Tasty.

When I am feeling super lazy and/or in need of comfort food, I make cheesy tortillas. Just slap a couple of slices of cheese between a few small tortillas and microwave until gooey. You can put a few slices of pepperoni or tomato in there, too. I'm sure it's completely awful for you, but when I'm in the mood for it I eat it anyway. :p

Yep that would be all. And the good thing about this is that you can change around the type of soup you use or even the meat.
