For those who may not be aware, or who blinked and missed it, there has been a WoW guild formed mainly of us KT/NTL/NKL types. If you're looking for a place to play and people to play with, you could probably do worse.

We're called the Church of Ratatosk, we're on the Proudmoore-US server, and we're Alliance. Nothing against horde, we just have better boobs.

Anyhow, the invite is open to all of you to come along and poke your head in. I'd post a listing of members and their accounts, but it's too early for me to know who's who here yet. So just send me a PM and I'll tell you who to whisper for a guild invite.

Furthermore, we have our own guild website at http://cor.guildlaunch.com

Anyone who doesn't particularly want to join our guild, but who might like some WoW talk in the style you've become accustomed to from those of our breed (and not from those on the official forums) is welcome to join up there and shoot the shit with us.

Okay now i want to play this game more than ever. I just do not want to get sucked in as I hear this game has a tendency to do to players.

We can neglect you as much as you need in order to negate the addiction.

Me too. I'm sorely tempted. Being a laughable noob among this group of folks, however, does not appeal.

Come read our forums, see what we're like.

Besides, if you're asking for assistance from guild members, they'll be respectful of your newness to the game. If they aren't, then you don't want to be a member of that guild anyway.

We honestly don't mind noobs. We really don't laugh at them, or call them names or put them down. It's kind of hard to believe that it's us, on some levels...

Oh, and I also take absolutly no personal interest in seeing to it that every noob has decent bagspace. really.

Anyhow, if you do decide you want to come play with us, here's the basics that PWD laid out on ntl a while ago:

1. You must be reasonably self-sufficient. If I know where something/someone is cool I don't mind telling you, but I'm not leading you from one side of Ironforge to to the other by the nose because you can't ask a guard or look something up on Thott.

2. If you ask for help, you will take it as a learning experience when someone does help. We will be teaching, not just powering you through. You will be expected to add to your self-sufficiency with what you have learned.

3. Ask all the questions you want, just don't make it a nightly repeat affair for the same things over and over.

4. It's not the guild's responsibility to make you ready for content, you'll need to do some work on your own to get quests lined up and gear sourced and know what is going on. See point #1 and point #2. If we're going to take time out to help you out, cool, but take the best advantage of that. It's only respectful to do so.

5. Don't be a dick. Everyone has a bad day here and there, but be fun to be around.

6. We're mostly level 70's who are interested in doing level 70 stuff. If you come in with a level 1, expect to be alone for good slabs of the time while you catch up. Sorry, but we spent two years playing level 1-60 content and it just doesn't appeal much. See point #1. That's not to say we will not help, just don't expect to be twinked.

7. We're playing the game to have fun too. Sometimes that won't include you. We're sorry.

Self-sufficiency is kinda important, since many of us have raiding obligations on our level 70 characters.

Now, we do have a bunch of lowbie alts in the level 20 range which is genuinely not hard at all to get to. You could do it in two evenings. Those we won't mind playing through older content with at all.

So it's not like you *will* always be alone, especially early when folks can show you the ropes, but we don't need anyone being all emo because we won't drop our raids to come kill Hogger.

Not that I'd expect that of Bella mind you, but it needed saying for some potential recruits I'm sure.

Oh, and just to show that we're not completely heartless to noobs, we've got a whole couple of sections of our guild forums dedicated to advice on playing the various classes, how to work in a party, etc, with actual names assigned to receive all the questions you want to ask. :)

All part of our continuing efforts to ensure that the Church of Ratatosk is represented by the finest players we know how to produce.

Tonight (and every Monday night, circumstances willing) is Lowbie Night, so now's a good time to get started.
