Starting Wednesday evening, Nov. 7th, Kay Tastrophe's Military School is changing its policy of blanket potential Not Work Safe material on any part of the board to a more Safe For Work policy.

Not Work Safe material is defined by yours truly as anything containing nudity, graphic sexuality, extreme violence or of an offensive nature. These conditions are very subjective but I'm pretty damn liberal in my view of what's offensive. However, don't try to find out where my boundaries lie. Use your judgement on what sort of images you'd want your boss/grandma/pastor to see and run with it. As always, illicit images are forbidden anywhere on this board.

The changes will be made/enforced as follows:

All avatars must be SFW.
The Chi Chi Chi subforum will become private, available to anyone who wants access but hidden to those who do not. Cadets will be able to opt in or out of the forum themselves, the default will be hidden.
All threads containing NWS material in the original post should be tagged as such in the title unless posted in the Chi Chi Chi subforum. Any subsequent post in a NWS tagged thread may contain untagged NWS content.
Any NWS content posted in a thread without the NWS tag in the title must use the spoiler tag to hide the NWS content or must link to the content offsite. Typing NWS in big letters at the beginning of a post and then putting lots of space between the NWS and the content is NOT an acceptable way to tag.Good work, cadets! Keep it up, I'm always proud to serve as your General.

Can you define "Illicit" for us, General?

Can you define "Illicit" for us, General?

Merriam Webster defines it as "not permitted; unlawful", and my intended usage was probably better described as illegal, not illicit. I'm talking about the really nasty stuff that could get our little school in legal trouble, like child pornography, snuff, beastiality, etc. Anything a policeman wouldn't want to see shouldn't be posted here.

Cool, maybe this'll bring a few surfers in who come during work hours. :)

Is that the motivation for this?

How about stuff that makes Kwalish's ass itch?

in essence, we are reverting to the way things were done, more or less, and are using common sense guidelines? cool

Is my avatar SFW? It might be time to change it.

That's definitely the case for me. I stay away that work because I never know and don't need Big Brother to get all pissy on me.

However, after hours and after the kid's in bed, I would be remiss if I didn't get a dose of nekkid pictures. Good thing I don't have a bobbie shot in my avatar. :D

Does this mean we have to wear pants now?

I guess I'll have to say "Bye-bye" to my chocolate Kama Sutra avatar...:bawling:

What's the plan for existing threads at that time?

Not that I'm trying to create any problems at all, I was just wondering... :D

As long as we can't tell if your wearing pants or not, they are not required. In my opinion.

The Chi Chi Chi House is now private by default, but you may give yourself access: in your User CP, go to the menu bar on the left. Under Miscellaneous, click Group Memberships. Select the Join Group radio button, then click the Join Group bar underneath it. You leave the group in the same manner.

What's the plan for existing threads at that time?

I'm pondering the tedium of going back through all of the existing threads and tagging stuff NWS, but then I get this feeling in the pit of my stomach that something more important needs to be done, like, oh, say... watching the clouds roll by. It's very pressing, you see. So, those past threads may or may not be tagged, open them at your own risk!
