I'd imagine with the right equipment you could do that.

Good to see you, Doc. Clay goes well, though infrequent with the new business and all.

He does use a lathe, but that is probably only half of it, takne as time and effort.

The new business rocks, y'all doesn't. We are mid-divorce. (actually we are probably 3/4 divirce, but that is just fractions)

I have a gallery, restaurant and some rental spaces now. Pretty cool by my standards, I will have to post some more pics to the new board when I can.

How is the old man?

Divorce's are bad, but I won't pry. What kind of restaurant ? Pics are good Post.

The old fart is good, working at night on a project that should be on the last stages if we pass the goverment smoke test (the inspector puts smoke via a pellet thru the duct to see if it leaks:pray:) later this week. Everything else is  ok

i saw some very similar bowls at an excellent exhibit of egyptian treasures that was visiting the local museum--the rooms were kept barely lit to avoid damage to the alabaster.

the bowls, some of them basin size were gently lit from behind--the light had a candlelight quality, and the bowls were mesmerizing.

they were translucent in the soft light--and thousands of years old--and --the odd part was, as shadows moved across them--it almost gave them a feeling of being living entities--they seemed less like something which had been made, than something which had been born.....

i loved their incredible beauty, and was awed by their strength--to survive, across the millenia, and still radiate their essence so clearly and strongly.....
