I don't get it. I like the map a lot, but the symbolism is lost on me. Got a tourist guide?

That is cool. Where'd you find it?

Yeah, I'm not quite understanding it either.

That's a relief. I thought it was just me.

I mean, it's a cool map and all, but what is the artist trying to say?

well, you see how various aspects of humanity are linked geographically. And it's chock full of all sorts of references - political, cultural, etc. Be sure to read the small text :)

-On the peninsula of Cannibalism is the City of Morlocks
-In the bay of sensuality you'll find Miami, Rio de Janeiro and Amsterdam
-Near the Plateau of Lies you'll find Watergate
-the shire is in the middle of the big plateau of tranquility

etc

Heh. Babar's Kingdom.

Nice to see Wisdom and Reason are together barely bigger in extent than the Abomination Mountains.

Evrytime I look at it I find new stuff, Sex City is on Cardigan Bay along with Bangkok and LA. This map really needs a way to look close, ala google Maps

not sure why the karl marx islands ring the south pole...

after having looked at this, i want to thank anc for posting it, but i believe it is worthless, possibly stupid, and has potential to make people argue with one another.

i also believe one could infer a lot about the person who made it, which might be more interesting than the map itself.

For example, we know he once drove through Marseilles because he put that city in Pandemonium.
