Some people love it and some don't, I was told to bring a Taco Salad home tonight 'cause she craving one.. Stuffed Steak Burrito and fiesta tatoe's for me. So what's your favorite from "the Bell" ?

Remember when thier refried beans was a meal in themselves ? (big bowl) now the portion is like 3 bites.

I usually get the Taco Salad with guac. I end up sharing it with my son, he takes all my bowl edges before I get to them. He also takes my little ranch-flavored crunchy things. Other than that I like the double decker supreme tacos.

Be thankful man, they don't even have the refried pinto beans up here any more, in any size.

Taco Hell (or Smell) is crap. Hell they have always been over priced and crappy.

I miss Zantigos.

Man I LOVE frijoles, add some hot sauce and thier great, last year a buddy and I was on a job and stopped at a TB for lunch. Anyway I got some refried and sat down, got up to get napkins, beans were hotter, got up for some Dew, they were hotter still. I added another Fiery to them and Greg admitted to already adding 2 to them, ate em anyway (he knew I was nuts then )

My stepdaughter is addicted to Taco Bell.

As for what I like. I like either the taco supreme or a soft taco supreme.

I swear by Del Taco and don't frequent Taco Bell much, I'm not a fan of their taco sauce or cheese/cheese sauce. That said, the meximelts are pretty good.

TB is the only fast food "Mexican " place in town now, we got sit down places of course (and some damn good ones too)

Never been to one, but then my nearest Taco Bell is over the other side of the Atlantic I believe. Who knows they may have some on the continent?

They did try to open in the UK but folded, like Wendys.

if I am going to have mexican, I'm going to have it at one of the sit down places, preferably the better ones too. Mexican just isn't my preferred fast food at all.

Oh fuck no. No TB for me, it is like Montezuma's revenge right here in NJ

I'm with you on that one, man; TB's nasty. There's a little Mexican place about a mile down the road from me that's divine. Something like 30 different kinds of tequila on the menu, too.

Fuck that, what I want to know is how big are their margaritas ? :D

There's a little Mexican restaurant in Calgary (one of the few reasons to go there) that has food so awesome, it makes Taco Hell taste like week-old dumpster fare. Which it probably is. The owner and staff are Mexican immigrants, and their food is top-notch.

Cool !

You can always tell how good mexican food is at a restaurant judging by the size of their margaritas. :D

Agreed. There's a little dive in town that has $2 Tuesday for margaritas. The glass is as big as my head and it is heavy on the tequila. They don't serve it frozen and they look at you funny if you ask for ice in it. Anyway, their place is small and dingy, but the food is excellent and their beer selection is magnificent. I haven't been there in a few years as it's a sit down restraunt and I don't take my hyper child to places like that.

I used to like the Mexican pizzas but out of nowhere everything started to make me sick. I found out from a former employee that they switched the cooking oil to coconut oil and it all became clean. So now I don't go there at all.

We're both going to be in trouble in the "demolition-man" style future.

I don't know why but there are no Mexican take-aways (at least near me, probably in London), and only a few Mexican restaurants. Fast food we tend to have Fish n Chips*, Pizzas, Curry, and of course Burgers (McD, BK of course, and even a Wimpy) & Chicken (KFC).

*Fish and Chip places are generally Greek or Chinese owned (I say Chinese they could well be Thai, or other Asian extraction in some cases). Greek places will tend to do Fish n Chips, Kebabs, burgers, and other more traditional English stuff. Chinese owned ones do Fish n Chips, Chinese and/or Thai food.

I'm a Del Taco man myself as well. I used to like the Chalupas at Taco Bell, but I started to feel my arteries hardening, so I stopped eating most fast food in general.

However, if I want fast Mexican food that's really good, I always get carne asada nachos from Alertos/Albertos/Alejandros/Albertacos. It's rarely listed on the menu, but it's top freakin' notch!

If it's anything like here, then mexican restaurants tend to be quite upmarket - although that does mean they are a hell of a lot better than taco bell.

Talking fast food, does anywhere else in the world have Fish and Chips* shops with at least half the shop front taken up with a deep fat fryer**?

*Other than tourist resorts in the south of Spain, which are more like little England, than Spain.

**large enough for a child to fall in (which unfortunately has happened in the past).

Alabama has a few roadside/fast food fried chicken places with friers that big. No fish and chips places though, and even the fried chicken places are disappearing.

I will occasionally crave a Nachos Bel Grande or a Mexican Pizza from Taco Bell, but I vastly prefer Taco Johns. I think it's a local Kansas chain, but it's damn good, and they just built one near us! :yay:

Over all fast food, I'd prefer a sit-down mexican restaurant. Mmmm, chimichangas, guacamole, Horchata, mmmmmmmmmm.

We had/have a Taco Johns in St Louis... it however was in the hood and thus I avoided it.
