Starting this Friday, some IMAX theaters are showing the Transformers movie, 2007 release. I am so there, taking a buddy of mine who loves to geek about about Autobots like I have started to do.

Who knew my four-year-old had such good taste? :D

So anyway, along with compelling anyone who is a Transformers fan to go see it in an IMAX theater, I want to ask what you thought of the 2007 theatrical release vs. the old 80's movie vs. the old cartoon show? I haven't seen much of the old cartoon show, or any but one episode of the new one, but I want opinions! I'm totally digging my new favorite infatuation.

I'm not a Transformers fan, but I thought the movie was reasonably enjoyable. The robot-on-robot fights were a bit confusing though, because they often moved so fast and had similar texture that it was hard to figure out who was beating on whom.

Movie was pretty medicore, the old 80ies movie was pretty good, but the old series takes the cake as the best of the 3.

Mediocre about sums it up. I wanted to like it, but it wasn't great.

That about sums it up for me. Just turn off your brain for a few parts and enjoy the robots.

IMAX makes jus about anything better, so I would go for it.
