Not necessarily. Smileys, by themselves, don't really convey much. They need to be taken into consideration with what is said and what you know about the poster. For example, when Cyragnome and Izrador used to use the :) at the end of each other's posts to each other, it really meant "Fuck you!". :D

If you look through the smilies categories you'll find a wide range of emotions conveyed by the little guys. One of the categories is itself titled "insulting". A rolleyes smiley :rolleyes: mostly conveys disapproval or disgust, hence my misunderstanding.

I operate keenly on all five senses. Undoubtedly I find fit women visually appealing, but the touch appeal is nice, too. Firm bodies make for better hand-holds: a grip on the hips or midsection, and a bodyweight I can curl makes for some interesting times.

My preference for Monica Brant extends to the earlier part of her career. She was more muscular then, but also a (slightly) higher bodyfat level, so she had all these fine curves to her. Now it's a look she only sports in the off-season. It was later when she got heavily into the figure competitor stuff (instead of fitness competitor) that she lost that look; became too lean. Skinned rabbit look. Lost all those curves, too. Damned shame.

As for the question about charisma and/or looks, I'd say, at least for my own list, it's a combination of both for every woman on the list. Each has a certain indefinable "something" to her that goes beyond the physical. All of them have great bodies, true, but there are plenty of really good-looking women in real life and in the movies that simply have no charisma. The ones that do are the ones I picked for my list. YMMV, as in all things.

I chose Biel and two fitness models/competitors, so I'd say that looks are definitely a strong component. Not just for aesthetics, but -- damn, but this is going to sound bad -- for durability. There's a lot to be said for a woman who's physically capable, strong, and the idea of not having to hold back and be so careful all the damned time is alluring in its own right.

But outside of that, the reason why I could name only three is because -- from what little I've glimpsed of them -- I rather like their personalities. They don't take themselves too seriously, there's no arrogance. There's a strong, down to earth quality in each. They're very grounded.

Sex is great. Sex is awesome. But for the sex to be "white light that blinds the brain" kind of awesome, I need that connection beyond the physical as well. All three are women I could see hiking with, having a conversation with, going horseback riding with, etc.

When I was a kid I had a huge crush on Sophia Loren and Anne Margaret. I loved old movies, but had no real concept of time or how old those movies were. I just knew that those two owned the screen when they were in a scene. In my later years, I discovered that there's a certain glint in the eye, that ephemeral indication of intelligence and will mixed with beauty, that draws my attention every time.

However, I have never understood, and likely never will, people's fascination with Angelina Jolie. I get a crazy-ass vibe off her, like she's not playing with a full deck, and she's freakin' skeletal. If it weren't for the boob job, she'd look aneorexic. :shock:

I get that the ultra-skinny/bony look is the trend of the day in North American society... but Jeebus! Her, Lohan, Ritchie... they just don't look healthy to me.


Salma Hayek's got that laser-like focus, though, yeah. Awesome actress and a great beauty.
