People are sharing their geekery over ipods and such, figured I'd bring some networking to the table.
Picked up a Linksys WRT350N gigabit wireless N router today. Instant home lan upgrade to gigE (woot), wireless upgrade to N (no big deal 'til I pick up an N device), it will NAS an attached USB hard drive (okay). I'm gonna reflash my WRT54G with a third-party firmware and turn it into a wireless client/AP for my networkable game consoles on the other side of the house, so no running of cables, and no buying of expensive wireless adapters for each.
Having done this, now I'm seriously tempted to upgrade my network plan to a nice 16 megabit offering, for only $99 a month. Sooo tempted. It's only like $40-ish more than I'm paying for 5MB, and since work wants to pay for my networking service, in effect I'd still be spending roughly the same amount for over 3x the speed.
